The Caraga One Health Initiative, led by Caraga State University, advances a holistic approach integrating human, animal, and environmental health to tackelt zoonotic diseases and emerging threats in the Caraga Region.

CSU’s roadmap fosters innovation in health security, enabling joint projects with national and Southeast Asian partners to amplify local outcomes.
Goal
The goal of the Center for Health Research and Innovations in Medicine and Bio Engineering is to pave the way for more systematic and organized management of research agenda setting, project and business development, compliance to universal standards in research ethics and publication, streamlined partnerships, community engagements and relationships with funders and non-state actors.
Key Strategies
- Builds capacity through training, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and community engagement.
- Lead the One Health Technical Advisory Group (TAG) and Technical Working Group (TWG) and position CSU for Philippine One Health University Network (PhilOHUN) membership.
- Focuses on evidence-based solutions for Mindanao’s unique health and environmental challenges, aligning with sustainable development goals.
